What is KARA about?

KARA is made up of a membership of individual residents of Kleinburg, Nashville and area, over the age of 18, who join for a one-time membership fee of $10. KARA has an elected board of up to 18 directors nominated from its membership and four Officers elected by the Directors, all of whom volunteer their time in service to the community

How does KARA operate?

KARA has several working committees focused on the most vital aspects of living in our growing community. You do not have to be a Director to be part of a committee - KARA members and residents are invited to become involved with working committees. Please call a Director or email us at kara@kara-inc.ca if you would like to join a committee.

    When does KARA meet?

    KARA holds monthly directors’ meetings the third Thursday of the month, at the Kline House(Nashville/Islington), at 7 p.m. The meetings are open to the community and should a person wish to speak at a meeting, deputations may be scheduled in advance by contacting KARA via email or phone.

    KARA holds an Annual General Meeting each year, usually in the Spring. KARA also schedules Public Meetings on specific community topics as required.
